Transfer from the cityrama Terminal to the Gare de Lyon. Board the TGV train. After covering 700 km (440 miles) in 2h35 through Burgundy and Rhône valley, arrive Avignon to first visit the Popes’ Palace (entrance and audio guide included). Free time to stroll around to town and have a drink or lunch at a sidewalk café.
Then with your guide, you will leave the banks of the Rhone and famous Bridge of Avignon and drive on to the lovely village Saint -Rémy-de-Provence (photo-stop). Guided tour of the perched village of les Baux de Provence: free time for shopping of local products (perfumes, lavender, provencal fabrics).
Cross the Rhone River between Tarascon and Beaucaire to reach, in a well kept natural site, the “Pont du Gard”, famous Roman aqueduct dating back to the 1st century (guided visit and free time). Transfer to the Avignon TGV station for the train departing at 8:01 PM to arrive to Paris – Gare de Lyon at 10:40 PM. End of Services.
